Buying a House in Florida Soon? Our Firm Can Help

Buying a House in Florida Soon

As life slowly gets back to normal across the country, the residential real estate market is roaring back. Few places are currently illustrating this trend more forcefully than the Sunshine State. While we’re waiting on statistics that show a more complete picture of Florida real estate transactions for the first quarter of 2021, all indications are that January 2021 continued the trend of rising home prices and a robust market.

One prominent reason for this relative boom is the desire for many people to relocate to a less lockdown-friendly state. Plenty of other buyers, including numerous retirees, were already planning to migrate to Florida but have accelerated their plans. Whatever your reason for making this state your new home, Salas Law Firm welcomes you to paradise. We know how stressful it can be to purchase a house in a new state, and our legal services can help make the process much smoother.

We Know Professionals

When you’re looking to buy in unfamiliar territory, you might be struggling to contact and hire the real estate professionals you need. Salas Law Firm has met and done business with numerous top-notch real estate agents, lenders, and other personnel to provide you with exceptional service. Our robust network of real estate professionals is prepared to help you find the house of your dreams.

We’ll Look Over Your Contracts and Give You Precise Legal Advice

Your real estate agent will be your main point of contact when looking for Florida houses. Again, we can recommend experienced agents who are savvy with purchase contracts and their many nuances. Where Salas Law Firm can supplement the expertise of your real estate agent is in review of your contract if unique provisions or circumstances come into play. Plenty of houses in Florida are being sold after foreclosures, short sales, divorces, or through probate, which often present legal challenges.

Title Issues? We Can Help

To be clear, you are not required, in Florida, to have an attorney with you when you close on real property. While Salas Law Firm can help with title searches and insurance, you have the option of executing those services with us as a title company only. What a title company isn’t able to do, however, is give you legal advice if a title search uncovers any encumbrances on title. If you do business with us as a title company and a title issue arises, we can later represent you as an attorney. If you already have a title company, Salas Law Firm is happy to work with you to supplement their services.

Your Lender Probably Has an Attorney

The lending institution you are getting a mortgage with will likely have an attorney present at some point during the closing process. This attorney, however, is not there to represent you and your interests, but the lender. Simply having a quality real estate attorney on your side can give you peace of mind and elevate your interests.

Our legal team can help make sure your real estate transaction goes the way you want it to go. Presently, Salas Law Firm is waiving the settlement fees for home closings (purchases and sales) for nurses, veterans, and first responders when our title services are used for the closing. Call us at (954) 315-1155 to set up a time to talk today.
